some nights a loud silence whispers 
out of the darkness 
weighted with reminders that follow me 
all the way to gates of hell 
I imagine you as a fleeting star that shined brightly 
here for a while as it burned out 
a memory flashes of two bodies 
lying together bathed in moonlight 
glowing with love
then like you 
it's gone
