Time seems to pass so quickly

Faster everyday



Telling me to hurry up

“Don’t slow down,” it seems to say



But the faster I go

It goes even faster



“Don’t get left behind”

I tell myself



Don’t let time win the fight

We started long ago



But soon I get tired

I need to let myself rest



As I slow down to rest

I notice time slows down too



I realized it wasn’t a race against time

I raced against myself
