Life seems so special
Now that you’re gone
You were here for a while
But not very long
You didn’t have enough time
To know what's it's like
You didn't have enought time
to learn to ride a bike
you still had all your teeth
you didn't learn to talk
you never started school
you didn't learn to walk
you missed out on so much
but i guess so did i
i lost my baby brother
and i have to wonder why
daddy never got to teach you
how to play baseball
mommy never got to take you
shopping at the mall
i never got to show you
the things that sisters do
our brother never got to torture you
the way that brothers do
i laugh when i think about
the way you used to smile
how cute you were when you slept
if only for a while
then you'd wake up crying
and we would run to see
what was wrong with you
cause you were our baby
we all miss you now
that you've gone away
but we'll all see you
in another time and day
