Anger Refrained

Folder:
2009

A passing wind that does not return

Simple inhale and exhale

My days are numbered and my skin is but flesh

Time after time, has your anger restrained?

Mouth full of flattering words

Lies meant to deceive escape from my lips

Heart seemingly loyal, faithful to the covenant

Continuously sinning, despite all the wonder

Shall the days be ended in futility

and the years spent in terror?

Yet you are merciful to forgive all iniquities

Never to destroy the one who seeks your name

Time after time your anger is restrained

Never stirring up your full wrath

All that is owned is within your control

Al that we have can be destroyed

Shall you guide me to safety,

where I will not be afraid?

To sing out your praises

and give supplication for the life that I live
