Constant arm around my waist

Smiles continue conversation

Could this be happening



Time is passing, watch the clock

Seconds become minutes

Minutes become hours

Missions impossible are visible



Respect for who I decide to be

Meeting me eye to eye

Never pushing me too far

Changing your life to understand

Switching habits to cleanse

Yet standing in confusion

Never wanting to step forward

Stagnant in an awkward pose

Laughing to seem normal

Shifting glance to not look

You in the eye



Just want to sit and talk

Never moving forward

Never stepping back

Where it leads, who could know

Breaking promises left and right

Having no idea what to do



World whirring around the two
