Awaited for so long
Been forever since we last spoke
Two weeks almost today
Teary eyed I turn away
Just can't look, it's disarray
Sometimes we really wish
Things would have worked out
"Loved you just the same"
But how could we last forever
When the contest is not the same?
Sometimes I really miss
Sitting for hours calm and relaxed
Staring into your eyes
Gently rubbing my nose upon yours
Falling to the floor laughing
Licking my lips and hearing you say
"I love you," forever and a day
But as for now I sit and wait
Knowing things can't work
Uncertain of what the future brings
Hurt to either side
I'm sorry for any harsh actions
That I may happen to make
I am human and I need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
