Heartfelt Death 12-5

Folder:
2006

Silence lingers, breaking hearts

Cutting and jiabbing through this path

A simple sweet wish turned a nightmare

Starting with the word hello

Every moment the clock ticks

Time before before our hands

Words, phrases, sentences - floating in the air

Why speak when one can listen

Why listen when one can do

Why do when you can be

But why be here at all

Love is not a reason for speech

It does not provoke words from thy mouth

Sighs of defeat escape me

Questioning this overwhelming shadow

This darkness wraps around me

Strangling any heartfelt emotion

Bringing to life all distress and worry

Someone else somewhere else

Something better to do

Your heartfelt words mean the world to me

Why is it they have been cut dry?

You mustn't say anything in return

It just seems customary in such days.

Author's Notes/Comments:

You aren't you, and that's what worries me.
