Soaring through the purple sky

No thought of coming down

Spending all my nights and days

Hoping we won’t frown

I see our house, our big blue door

No sign of you I’ll see

A streaming tear runs down my cheek

As I remember you with me

Every memory is lost forever

No more sharing hopes and dreams

I know we’ll never speak again

At least that’s how it seems

You walk outside,

Just like you love to do

Waving at the plane go by

Wonder who inside is who

I grab mother, and point you out to her

She shakes her little head

Tells me everything’s all right,

And goes back to the book she already read

Remembering you are not there

I wipe my eye, and continue staring

My mind is lost in the past

The sun ends its painful glaring

Before I expect it, the captain speaks

Telling us we are not far

I realize now you’re gone forever

Because of that stupid car

The driver had too much to drink

And lost his state of mind

He crashed into our car that night

But my sister’s body we could not find

So now we land in our new home

And wish you never visit

Inside my heart I want you to

Knowing my soul you lit

Miles away I miss you, sis

And I know I always will

This city will not help at all

My longings it will never fulfill
