Nothing is meant to last forever

Nothing is ever meant to be

All the stitches sooner or later start to sever

Even sandcastles are eventually swallowed by the sea



No one is meant to be together

No one is meant to be the one

A rainbow is merely the aftermath of stormy weather

Even the moon steals the light from the sun



Not all questions are meant to have an answer

Not all locks are meant to have a key

The clouds only camouflage the cancer

Even dreams ultimately turn into dust and debris



Not all puzzles are meant to be completed

Not all hearts are meant to mend

All champions will eventually be defeated

Even a start at some point has to have an end



…And we’re all born just to die

And we’re all too blind to see

We keep building sandcastles up so high

Just to have them swallowed by the sea…



Everything is meant to fall apart

Everything is meant to stop someday

Every “I love you” will eventually lead to a broken heart

Even color in time will turn to gray



Everyone is meant to hide behind a lie

Everyone is meant to fear reality

Fireworks are merely bombs bursting in the night sky

Even prisoners will one day be free



All questions are meant to have an answer

All locks are meant to have a key

But we will never find the cure for cancer

Even clones sometimes disagree



All puzzles are meant to be completed

But we always sadly run out of time

This tragic cycle is always repeated

So just take a number and patiently wait in line



…And we’re all born just to die

And we’re all too blind to see

We keep building sandcastles up so high

Just to have them swallowed by the sea…
