Ties not cut but as memories fade

Differing paths, on lifes road

Becoming more distant each day



What we could've, should've, we didn't

Things that will remain, forever undone

What could've been, should've, isn't

Words that will be, forever unspoken



Thanks for the time, all those years

Thanks for all that you meant to me

A lot of happiness, before many tears

As memories of what was fade to history



I once told you, "I will never forget"

But each day I awaken memories fade

So I just wanted to write and thank you

Before you completely fade away
