I was never gonna grow up,

but then I did,

but where has he gone?

that kid I once knew

he had troubled times,

but he knew laughter,

and it got him through

When no one else would play with him,

he danced with his shadow

and his shadow brought friends

then one day all the troubles got worse

and they piled inside

until they clouded his mind

and the shadows were gone

He made mistakes,

but he was wise and learned from them

He had always aged,

but know he had grown up it seemed

He never fully relaxed

worked hard as he could

sometimes harder then he should

for little to show,

but he did his best to put a smile on every face that he could

it meant alot that to him their happiness did,

and one day he thought he saw his shadow on the wall

it pointed to a girl with a smile,

that made him nervous and shake

he remembered dancing with the shadows,

and this time the shadow had brought a friend

He felt like a kid again

in his heart he was young once again

he smiled and waved at her

and he whispered in her ear,

as they danced under the sprakle of the stars and the light of the moon

"You are my happy thought

thanks for keeping my heart young,

even when my body and mind feel old

Dance with me in the shadows

dance with me in the moonlight

dance with me for eternitiy

or as long as it is meant to be"

He then closed his eyes and kissed her goodnight
