Coma Freeze ( the last blink)

They say your whole life flashes before your eyes just moments before you die

When I was four and I fell and scraped my knee

Mommy kissed it and made it all better.

I was nine when she moved in next door,

pink dress and pig tails my heart skipped a beat.

at the age of twelve grandpa died

I never cried.

You all surround me and pray, but it's not over until it's over.

I lost my virginity at 16,

but 16 wasn't sweet the bitch ditched me.

When finally to decades have faded I found true love.

By 23 I was married with a kid on the way.

Now that child sits and stare wondering why daddy is just laying there.

When three decades have come and gone

My fate had caught up with me for a day.

I never saw the gun,

I wasn't lying i had no money.

As the blood flowed, i wished only for the chance to say goodbye to my daughter.

A score and a half my time now done.

Now I lay here with my memories.

You say your prayers, but I all i wanted was a chance to say goodbye.

To open my eyes and see my daughter one last time.

When I was four I scrapped my knee.

Ouch. This poem hits hard and no mistake. It states the situation with a blatancy and baldness that no amount of flowery language could accomplish. Well done!
