There we lay upon a slumber,
Often we wonder why of yesterday?
How of tomorrow?
Than the sheep evade us,
as we wrestle with regret.
We cuddle with indecision,
As we find comfort in no answer
Over the failure of the wrong decision.
Tick one second
Tock one second
Processing thoughts of every embarassment
Like caffeine directly to the vein
Toss and turn in the blankets
As if a disciple upon the waves
Fear grips you and your eyes refuse to blink
The hands are frozen on the face
Mistakes past made and those yet to come replay
Insomniatic torture recycled on a twenty four seven cycle
Slowly with heavy eyes you fade
Then immediately woken
Alarm
A new day same as the old day
Or will finally my conscience clear
Lay my head down,
Soul to rest
A very fine and riveting
A very fine and riveting concept to describe what is termed here as the 'emotional amnesiac.' Only too glad to have come across this gem. Thanks for sharing.

Great write.
It sucks when your thoughts keep you awake all night.
