GIVING UP...
It’s time to say goodbye,
It hurts still, nonetheless,
I wanted so much for us,
Foolish hopes and faded dreams,
Built upon empty promises.
Heartache was eminent,
Though we neglected to see it,
As too young lovers often do.
Romance faded away,
Leaving boredom and disinterest,
Simmering in its’ place.
Part of me wont let go,
Sad I know, but true,
I don’t want to give up,
But I know I must,
Why must we always,
Do what feels wrong,
For the right reasons?
