I don’t want to push on

I don’t want it to be so hard

But no one ever gets what they want

Although I found you didn’t I?

Your beautiful eyes pierce mine

Your strength lifts me

And yet, although life is hard

You have made it easier to cope with

So thank you with a solemn prayer

I promise to love you no matter what

And when the time comes you will know

I’m for real, I always will be

I will wipe away your tears of pain

I will nurture your brilliant smiles

I will try to make tomorrow better

And you will be happy
