The tears fall inside
Like scared ants running away
From a large object coming at them
The fear takes hold
Like waves crashing against the shore
During a hurricane
The anger rolls over me
Like a man
Who fought for his honor and lost
The shame washes over me
Like a young child
Who fell and scraped his knee
The pain consumes me
And like a bird
Locked in a cage
I just wish I was free
