You know how
Addicted that I am.
Not to any substance,
I am addicted to you.

I think you know that,
But I wanted to put it here
In one of my poems.
Just so the whole world knows

That I am addicted to you.
I follow you around
Like a puppy.
Tongue out, tail wagging.

I just need to touch you.
It bothers me when
You tell me that I can’t.
To feel your skin

Well, that is my meth,
Or name any addictive substance.
But there are no side affects
When it comes to you.

Because you aren’t any drug.
You are you.
And for all that, and much more
I am addicted to you.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

This one is for my boyfriend, for those of you that haven't been following my poems, he is Tom Neville. I got the inspiration from a song, Black Eyed Peas - Just Can't Get Eough. Most people think that the addiction comes from sex, well I'm here to tell you that isn't all of it. Its how he makes me feel, the things we share, and we have everything in common. To quote Forest Gump, 'We are like peas and carrots.'

Hi Chrystal! Love can be described as addictive too... I hope the feeling is mutual with Tom. I am reminded of a song by Robert Palmer entitled " Addicted to love" back in mid 80s.
