But

I love you

But

At the same time I hate you

You have moved on

But

I’m still here where you left me

You have taken your things

But

My stuff is still here

You call someone else

But

My phone never rings

You lay in someone else’s bed

But

Your side is still cold

You eat someone else’s food

But

Your dinner is still in the oven

You kiss someone else

But

My lips are still glossed for you

You are gone

But

I still want you here

A very poignant piece. These things are all too common after a breakup, yet I can honestly say that I've never seen them committed to any kind of medium so succintly and directly. The point and counterpoint rhythm is very clever, and, to me, the entire poem cuts right to the heart of the issue and asks the question "Why?" Continually impressed. :)
