how can we expect to be heard when they tell us to keep quiet
don’t say u try cause if you did no one would still be silent
how come the only noise heard is voices cryin
and why is it that the only time the news is on it's cause somones dyin
why do we elect someone every year knowing they are lying
is it because theres a light of hope and it's a little blinding
or because we all gave up and are too tired of trying
life is a road with twist and turns but we try to cut through taking the path of the birds
how can we roam free when they shut us out from the real world
feeding us scripts and stories they want us to beleive
they treat us as test rats smelling out cheese
they hand us a false justice and expect us to believe
yes wars over but good men died so why are we relieved
how bout that corny isis speech
we have our own crisis, solve that instead of building army fleets
