Across from me looking he sits there
A look of pure justice in his eyes
I dare to glance back vainly hoping
For anything which resembled compromise
We had gone to far in this folly
I know this with bitter regret
Too many were gone, why carry on
When its over how soon they'll forget
My people they call me a leader
His people they hail me as Death
Regardless of those in the middle
They who counted and wasted their breath
The deal said and done we return to our own
To reap the credit for a peace we proclaim
And the smiles on their faces were hoplessly wasted
We want nothing only legacy and fame
