All at once,

I am humbled,

humbled by the discovery

of your true thoughts 

for me.

I stand stunned,

turmoil and joy rotating

in my belly,

a hollow swirl all at once

wonderful and 

melancholy,

Had I know your feelings,

I might've taken a differnt

course in life.

But as it is,

I am left with a thousand

"What ifs" dangling

in my soul.

An old crush which I had

restrained,

will have to be but a

fantasy.

For my heart and soul 

is now with another.

and with her,

my heart and soul

will stay.

But I accept your hidden

heart,

and your beautiful tributes,

as a friend,

and not a secret lover,

now and forever

more.
