Sunday be quiet,
be still,
be alight with peace,
and serenity.
This is my day
when time and
pace slows,
holding onto us,
reminding us,
that the fury of
work and rush can
wait.
Sunday be the day,
for the Lord,
for the family,
to gather and bond,
to be content.
This is your gift to us,
the gift of renewal,
the glory of this moment,
to hope everlasting.
Sunday be my comfort,
be my shelter,
be my sanctuary from the world,
at least until Monday drags me
to Hell again.
