Burden

His drifting mind stoped and stared
Pensive and still, incredibly rare
Remorse slithered accross his eyes
A burden leading to his demise
A gentlemen must always say goodbye
His gaze of regret lifted to view the sky
In these words he confides, substaining regret
Of spoken words and promises unkeept
Weighed down by a burden quite fond
The gentleman knows; he must move on
Stoicaly, never kneeling to anyone before
But for her, his knee crumbles to the floor
To free himself from his jailcell
In trembling speech,"My darling i bid you farewell."
