He walked on this earth in the flesh
And chose to die for you and me
And that’s the price he paid.
For us beggars to live and be set free.
I never understood the price he paid
When he died at Calvary.
But I know that it is worth more
Than anything being advertised on TV.
Some people search for things in stores
To make them feel like life is more
But you won’t find his love in your soul
Not at Walmart or at a drug store.
The cross isn’t placed for us to see
It’s in our hearts and forever will be.
Whether we choose to accept his love
We’ll be confronted just wait and see.
Come the judgment day Jesus will see
who was truthful, who was loyal
And our great deeds won’t be
Replaced with Crown Royal.
The devil will no longer rule me
For my heart and soul will forever be
With the King; my God above
In Heaven forever and ever I soon will be.
