Expecting You

Folder:
All and nothing

Patiently I wait, expecting you,

To enter quite rightly and take your pew,

For once tide was high and all was new,

Only now tides' eroded and numbers few.

And as you don the gowns of life,

Merried joys and worried strife,

Enter please, take your pew,

As patiently, I wait for you.

Granite stones; against it fall,

The hail, the sun, a stormy squall,

Whilst standing solemn; quiet tall,

My beckoning bells roll out their call.

Years of footsteps; people followed,

Same shared space in time is hallowed,

Hear my bells roll out your call,

I beckon quietly; standing tall.
