Died a death from too honest a deliberation,
Drunk! - I’m drunk! - bears me no alleviation,
Knew desire dissolved into delusion,
Shambled; Shamefaced; ensured exclusion,
Singed to oblivion of my inanity,
Nerves nose-drove into asininity,
As I over-stranded my intent,
Realising your interest was elsewhere spent,
Yet talked and talked as if on speed,
Edged on to feel you had a need,
Had feared the felt of bitchy schemes,
Though instinct fell before the siren’s beams,
Gaining delight at imping disaster,
Maliciousness is a mirthless master.
