Of Seasons With Faith's Seasoning

Some of the days are winter dark

and some of them are summer bright.

Others' are spring's redemptive green;

or autumn's glory, sometimes tinged with gray.

But from the church's window, any day

is neither useless, lopsided, or lost.

Even if rain and winds have tossed

fierce storms about, nothing can depress

the ordinary day faith can confess

to be the day our regnant Lord has made;

the day of His Salvation---

safe from all wordliness

and from damnation;

safe like those days of Noah in the ark.

And from the glorious Heavenly

prospect of the redemptive destiny

whom none can ever possibly

disable or demean.
