You Probably Think This Poem Is About You

I could stand in front of you,

slit my wrists, bleeding on the floor. You'd look at me and laugh

and just demand more.

You might read this and think I'm being dramaticThat could be trueOr maybe it's not meMaybe it's all you

You'll just keep hurting meAnd I'll take it for yearsBut one day you'll run out of sorrysAnd I'll run out of tears

I'm always crying because of you

and it has to stopIf you truly loved me,

my eyes would be as dry as a rock

I'm better than this

I just forgot that until nowYou can only kick me for so long

before I get up somewhere else.

I love you so much that you'd say timber if you saw how far I'd fallBut first you'd have to noticeSecond your heart would have to thaw

And even after you missed me falling

I'd still crawl to your sideYou'd stay in your own worldThe only world I can never get inside

My love looks like obsessionYour love puts me in a depression

One day you'll miss meOne day you'll careAnd on that sad day I don't know where I'll beBut I won't be there

I held my breathBut you blinked and you missed itI coulda loved you for a lifetimeBut You blew me off in an instant
