Why, like children on halloween, must we rejoice in pettiness
We labor hours for the wage of slaves that fuels their greediness
Employee of the month gets a parking spot, seems such a reason to boast
Why they feast like royal pigs, we must resort to water and toast
and when we return home every night struggling to keep our family fed
they, with bellies full, are nestled in their king sized beds
how long until this unjust day finally fades to night
how long until what all is wrong is finally made right
how long until we finally recieve what belongs to us
how long until we serve a leader that we can truly trust
