Such innocent beauty
Falling apart
A tiny, slow, beating heart
You love her with all you have
But that's not enough, to undo the past
She's fading fast

You're giving your all
It's easy for me to see
You'd take the fall
Give your life, not just money
On the machine they keep
To keep her going
You watch as she sleeps
Her weak body glowing
And inside and out you weep
Feeling her days slowing

Time limits aren't meant for a life
But they gave her one,
And they gave you strife
Until you felt that it wasn't right
To keep alive, such a painful life
But the beauty in her eyes
Made it hard to say goodbye

Seconds, minutes, hours in a room
They pulled the plug like you asked them too
You waited for your hearts impending doom
And her little heart stopped
A flower wilted too soon

You spent days debating
Did you make the right choice
Or would the waiting
Only have been worse
You want to take your life
Because you lost hers
But she's held in paradise
And wants you to go on
To show love and right the wrongs
So don't give up
Go on for her
The innocent beauty
In such a cruel world.
