The Tables Have Turned.

You use no words, but say it with your eyes
You miss me I know, it cannot be disguised
I'd been a fool to waste my time
On someone who didn't care.
Long in the past, it's too late dear
When I tried to reach out, I was ignored
As if I was nothing but a joke, and you were bored.
But now you come to me with open arms,
Don't be surprised when I walk away
And ignore your deceiving charm.
You had your chance, and it's plain to see
It's now too late and you're chasing me
Like I did for you and isn't it funny
The tables have turned.
I'm not a back up plan, you should've learned.
You say you're sorry,
I accept your apology.
Now I'll walk away, and watch you try to follow me.
But your path is blocked as you come to realize,
I'm surrounded by others and I'm done with your lies.
The ones who saw I was worth it all along,
Step in your way, I laugh as I hear you say;
"I was wrong."
