On Down the Road

“On Down the Road”

Chris Mumford

lblblb

Our packs wore heavy upon our backs,

As we moved on down the road;

lb

Nothing but luck to guide our tracks,

As we part ways with our homes;

Willingness aside life knocks upon the door,

Of success and failure, neither can be sure;

Time will see you quite different than before,

That is all we know for sure;

Keep memories close and loved ones closer,

As we move on down the road;

For when our plights will not blow-over,

These comforts will lighten the load;

lb

When burdens are heavy and blessings ill bestowed,

Remember the journey, As we move on down the road;
