My Love Approaches
Chris Mumford
In my madness would I care to notice?
The sound of subtle footsteps,
my love approaches;
Approach in the darkness,
hidden from senses;
An Imposing presence,
I fear is relentless;
Yet love conquers all, and all-means-me;
None sheltered from conquest not ee-vun-she;
For I am she and she is me,
Inseparable are we;
Love abounds, yet still seldom found;
It dwells in the light, somehow hidden from sight;
But never for we, for I am she-
Lest we forget that I am me;
For who am I without my she,
My love, my heart, the better part of me;
She lives for me, and I for she-
My red rose, my life’s blood, my sweet sym-pho-nee;
