  THE HOUSE ON THE CORNER

I love it when it rains.

         Love to listen to

       the sound of

       the rain on

          the roof.

        Love the mornings.

Love  to watch the people get on

        the busses and go

        Where do they go?

     I want to know

East and west.  Its the best.

         they come home at night

            A sight.

There are floors three.  A perfect house for me.

A house so tall.  I love it all.

I love looking out all the windows.

There rooms there are many so.

                                                             I never want to go.

One Christmas eve, I thought I heard Santa's reindeers' hooves on the roof.

This was a year or two ago.

My friends said, there is no Santa.

I don't know.

                                              Books everywhere on floor.

All aspects of history and government

                                             I love to explore

I love to look out the window and read.

Love to sit on the floor.  Or, in a chair.  I don't care; just like to be there.

There are two bus routes close by.  I can see them with my eye.

I watch them come and go.

Where do they go?  I want to know.
