A nice sight.
A real delight.
Though, it can give you a fright.
It's late.
It's pulling it's cars of lots of freight.
Bright headlight
The cars, a click clack down the track.
Moving out of sight
The headlight, always looking at the track ahead.
All around, a land in bed.
On it's way,
going away
All the cars, going far
The whistle, a woo woo sound,
the land all around
all around the sleeping land
The whistle, a sound everybody does understand.
It can be heard for miles, on the people, sweet smiles.
A whistle that's low or high.
I listen as it does go.
The train whistles as it goes by.
As it by does go.
A sound sweet, as a river does flow.
