ZOO TRAIN

                 They all climb on.

It's early in the morning just

a few hours after the dawn.

They climb aboard.  The horn's heard.

              They anticipate.  It's great.

It starts to go.  What animals will we see.  We don't know.

It's a big crowd.  They are loud.  They get on each car.

They are going to go far.

Rolling are the wheels.  Happiness is what people feel.

They are excited.  They are delighted.

They've come to tour.  They've come to explore.

They'll see animals they know.  They learn.  They yearn.

They'll see animals they have not seen before.

                They explore.

They ride the train, a guide about each animal does explain.

                    Lions, tigers, bears, oh my.

They look at animals that swim.

They look at animals that fly.

                             They ooh, they aww.

                        They gawk.  They talk.

They look at animals with claws.

                                  They gape.

The chimps, the orangatangs, the apes.

Photos, as they go, they take.

They listen and learn from the zoo guide.

                  They hope animals don't hide.

               They, sometimes, stare in shock.

                  They excitedly do talk.
