ROAD

Folder:
COUNTRY POEMS

                        We're all alone.

We're from far home.  But, see, that's alright,

It's night, but that ok as day.

We're together.  We're two birds of a feather.

                     A husband and a wife.

                      We're just starting a life.

This road is in the middle of nowhere.

                   There are no other cars.

We, from anyone or anything, we are.

                       Appalachia.

Straight and true, but we're not blue.

We talk.  We listen to the radio, as we go.  See, we listen to a CD.

It's the middle of the night, 2.

                      Our love is true.

It has been since before we said I do.

                       But, our love is bright.
