SUMMER'S EVE FIREFLIES

              Summer's eve fireflies.

A house at, we do stay.

Sometimes we play baseball with a ball and a bat.

It is a great chance to get away.

      Around the beach, we dance.

It seems like everything will get a chance.

                Summer's eve fireflies.

A time when on come the dreams dance.

     Anything is possible, it seems.

A time when adults walk and talk.

A time when children make schemes and tell stories.

               Summer's eve flies.

         Fireflies, watch them dance.

Fireflies, look quick, over will be the chance.

         Fireflies, in a line.

Fireflies, I wish they were mine.

Fireflies, they, you spy, with your eye.

You look at them, and say "my oh my."

There are so many of them.

         It is hard to believe.

         They do not deceive.

              Summer's eve fireflies.

          I can see their light.

           They light up the night.

            So big and bright.

I can get them in a jar.

Soon, go, I will let them.
