CAT

                             She's walking down the road,

She's walking down the street, such tired, aching, feet.

           She's carrying a heavy load.

She has nobody with whom to play.

She has nobody with whom to stay.

She, sometimes with other cats, competes.

She fights.  During the day, at night.

She bites.  She claws, she paws.

She's looking for meat, a treat, she's looking for food.

She's looking to survive, stay alive, thrive.

She, from no food is weak.  Food, shelter, is what she seeks.

She's all alone.  She's just looking for a home.

She's in pain.  She feels the torrential rain.

She, see, looking for a place to be, a person, a family.

            She, nobody wants to play.

She, in any home, not welcome to stay.

She from no food is weak.

She runs across the road.  She gets hit by a car.

She runs away, but does'nt get far.

She's battered.  She's bruised.  She bleeds.

       Blood does ooze.

                        She cries.  Nobody hears.

                        She dies. Nobody cares.
