I listened as
the conductor did explain all about the train.
Chicago! Yes, that was where we were going to go.
1,000 miles away.
It would take longer than a day.
It gave this boy a lot of joy.
They announced the track, 3!! See, so exciting see to me.
I looked at the menu for the diner.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinners.
Meals were real winners.
Snacks too, true.
I looked at the route map.
I looked at all the places did the train go?
I wanted to know!!
MA, NY state, really great, PA on the way,
Ohio, I did know, IN, before Chicago, IL. A lot of joy for this boy.
All the cities and states, really great.
I had a lot to do, true.
A lot see, to keep me entertained on the train.
I loved looking at the view. Yes, that's what i loved to do.
Malls, cities big and small, farms, fields, factories, stores, and more,
roads, highways, interstates, really great!!
Night,
I could only see lights.
Still great. Bright were the lights.
We left Rochester, NY state.
My mom said bed I needed to go.
I did nor say no.
Lying in bed.
All the thoughts in my head.
The train did rock; it did roll.
I loved the trip whole.
