MY FIRST TRAIN RIDE
A lot of joy for this boy.
,My first train alone, far from home.
My first train ride, all this excite, I could not hide.
This was something new for me see.
Something new. I could not wait to do.
My mom for my ticket did pay.
I was on my way.
My uncle, aunt, grandparents, were a whole day away.
A tear from her eye.
Thought I, she was going to cry.
She, see, told the car attendant, the conductor to keep an eye on me.
V.A. on the way.
Chicago, I was going to do.
West would be the best.
Boston would be so much fun.
I took a look at a book.
I listened as the conductor did explain, all about the train.
I looked at the signts.
I would ride all day until the night.
I had dinner, a winner.
I got into bed.
All the thoughts from my trip in my head.
Singing was my heart.
This trip I did start.
My heart did sing.
Could not wait to see what the next day would bring.
