Inside
Inside I feel worse and worse each day,
Like a wild animal with a broken leg,
Darkness and despair gnaw at me within.
Try as I might I can not shake these feelings.
For as I sit it seems as though my life is falling apart,
And just like watching a loved one suffer or struggle,
I have no way to stop it although it pains me so.
If only I could crawl in a deep dark hole,
Perhaps I could hide from the world and the pain I feel.
