Your heart was..
Cold, closed.
Very confidential, secretive.
Ice. Numb.
'Til she came and warmed the ice
Melting it and giving it life
Taking in all the pain you issued
I came upon you
And learned about the complexity
The pain, the numbness
That is you
Relating to some
I tried to find a place in your heart
Only to be pushed back by her
So I stayed on the sidelines
Contemplating what I had seen
Scars covered with blood
Bruises and wounds so deep I
Thought it went the whole way through
Most was shrouded in darkness
But..finally I had found it
The sanctuary of light left
And only when I was welcome did I try
To heal the wounds and
Wipe away the blood
Nurse the bruises and shed some light
There have been times during my endevor
I was shut out
Clawed at
And shoved away
But I was detirmined to heal you
I was let back in
And I continued to try
To fill those gaps and
Patch up the scars
I took in as much pain as you let me
Holding it tightly
And still kept at the project
I loved you, tried to tell you
How wonderful you are
Tried to cure you
To get you happy again
And so the healing and discovering continues
Forever shall I heal and love you
Keeping you happy always
Opening up your heart little by little
Making more light than dark
Taking any blows I get back
Because I love you
Your happiness is my happiness
I love you.
