could

my phone lays upon my leg
like a rock,
i feel the warmth of the
battery on my skin,
waiting for your call,
the call never came,
i layed my eyes upon you the
first day we met,
you dont understand how
much i love you,
you loved me once,
i dont know if you still do,
but you made a choice,
a choice to leave me in the dust,
and never come back for my revenge,
how much longer until your
love game stops,
im getting bored just spinning tops,
you should come up with new
ideas to excite my pain,
its getting erased in the rain,
your brainwashing is getting old,
while your mother is waiting
tired and cold,
you want a reaction out of me,
well i'll just pretend it doesnt
bother me,
you now need clues to get
into my wounded heart,
but first you have to get past
the puzzle of art,
can you save yourself,
before the hurt comes back
for your turn,
is this all real,
or is it a dream you read
in a book,
lets play a game,
its called the game of truth,
can you come out and say
not one lie,
as you walk right on by,
maybe you need time,
time to get over your pathetic life,
and become the boy i once
fell in love with,
will you do that for me,
or will you do as you please.
and depress yourself more
and more each day trying to
find ways to make your life decent.
