Lullaby
I'll sing you a lullaby
so smooth and tenderly
upon a stream of caressin? love
I hold you near to me.
I cradle you on my lap
your head against my chest
a tiny thumb into your mouth
you need a little rest .
Your eyes become so heavy now
from fairies' sleepy sand
warm feelings fills my heart
you're safe in loving hands
A gentle kiss on both your eyes
oh how I enjoy your face
within a smile of Angel's bliss
captured it all in my embrace.
I'll sing for you a lullaby
so smooth and tenderly
always sing this song for you
whenever you need love from me.

Lovely and smooth-flowing. A beautiful lullaby.
A wonderfully, gentle poem...so beautifully done. You have shown the love between parent and child so well...at these soft moments. Thank you for sharing. Peace, LadyHawke :-)
