What makes us human?
Philosophers of the ancient days said:
It is love
Animals love
They stay true to their partners
Parents look after their young with passion and zeal
It is friendship:
Animals have friendship
They do not abandon their friends
They love their friends for who they are
It is respect:
Animals respect
Crows respect their parent better than human
Elephants will risk their lives for their parents
It is wisdom:
Animals have wisdom
Humans borrowed wisdoms from animals since thousands of years ago
Animals know how to live and enjoy better than us human
So what makes us different?
Is it:
Regret that dwells on our past?
Wrath that prey upon our enemies and rivals?
Envy that kills our friend?
Pride that towers over the Tower of Babel?
Lust that makes strongest of us fall?
Sloth that stops us from doing anything?
Greed that will devour anything and everything?
wow. interesting read. you
wow. interesting read. you raise some important questions my friend. i think the last lines concentrate on the seven deadly sins, if m not wrong. u probably overlooked gluttony, which is a serious issue these days, what with our over-indulgence in anything that holds the slightest value in this materialistic world.
anyway, genuinely liked it. :) poems like this r what we need more :)
Thank :D
Yes the last line was suppose to concentrate on gluttony. I still remember I had hard time thinking of a line for gluttony and decided to skip it haha
