Post apocalypsic love
By Chanda Sue Healton
From the second I laid eyes on you
My heart fluttered from above,
My soul blossomed with love..
I knew my heart beat matched yours
You were more than a lover more than a friend.
You'd be my drug of choice to the bitter end.
What I didn't know then I would love to regret now.
A love so strong it brought me to my knees
A dream so powerful it split the seas.
You made me realize that you were the one thing :I needed more than the rest.
You became my morning and my night.
You became my darkness and my light
Against my will you became my reason to live.
How was I to ever know.
I'd wake up just to watch you go.
Love was a gateway drug flowing through my poisoned veins.
If only I had felt now how I felt back then.
A love so beautiful and pure it could only lead to my Apocalypsic end.
From the second I laid eyes on you
My heart fluttered from above,
My soul blossomed with love..
