Sun shines on the purple flower
The girl just sold her kidney
Now, she can afford the boat
They took the extra one off her hand
Now she is complete
With everything she needs
Not too little, not too much!
A boat, some dough and a dream
When she reaches Freedom Land
If still alive
She’ll carry the sun to cover the night
Shall bathe with one kidney till dawn
But I wonder about the voices she might hear
On land of Freedom
Cry of hungry kids sleeping in dumps
Dreaming of a boat to take them, Away
To that store
She might meet kids
Who have kidneys to sell
For the price of a smile
She might even go back to color the moon
And hang a tear on the sun
She might even sell her other kidney
For the price of rain
To flower the world
If only she could sell….
If only she could get….
