Floral fauna
Do not weep for me
Let the trees sleep this time
to let the roses bleed
on top of lady bugs who will fly off worried
to attack the others,
The lazy drugs are for expressing
Pain to distant lovers when they
Call on them to reconnect or
Dial in distant memories,
Floral fauna
If we are to be made fish
Why not piranha?
We can eat the numbed out hearts of the living
To better nourish our swimming instincts
To trek to some great cove...
be forgotten from ourselves to our souls
to keep warm,
I've seen this once before
When I was set in the art of deception,
The little life lessons taught me
To always be expecting more
When less has yet to deliver it's best,
Keep me guessing if that's the key
To unlocking our divinity,
I'll learn with seasons until old bones
Break under pressure from those tomes
That give me hope and comforts,
Lay with me awhile and watch me sleep
Until those lazy drugs have worn off,
Who's to say when the daybed populi break off
Into night sweats?
I'll bet it comes early.
