Ten Years

First period bell rings

Go to my next class

Don't listen to the teacher

When she teaches us English

Don't neek to know about 'Verbal Phrases'

Don't really care what they are

I just pray that it's over soon

I beg the bell to ring again

Make faces at my friend

To pass the time away

Write notes to the boy beside me

Hoping that he'll never change

Colorin' my nails

With a gel pen

Writing a song on my hand

In perminent black inc

And all I really need to know

Is that this is the way it's gunna be

Ten years down the line

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this the second to the last day of school. Everything in this is true, except the verbal phrases part. We had already learned those. The friend I was making faces at was Kelsey, and the boy next to me was Josh. I wrote this on the back of my hand and it took forever to come off. I hope that everyone stays the same and doesn't change just because we're moving up to the high school.
